It's in the small gestures nobody plans for. The way a parent holds a child like they're still getting used to the miracle of them. The way a couple leans into each other without thinking. The way a family laughs at something that only makes sense to them. These moments don't need to be made beautiful—they already are.
I consider it my primary job to love. When I'm behind the camera I'm not just looking for the perfect pose or the perfect light — I'm looking for all the things I find wonderful and special and real about you. The way you move, the way you laugh, the way you look at the people you love most. That's what ends up in the photographs. That's what you get to keep.
I've been through enough to not be scared of your story. The grief, the complexity, the parts of yourself you're still figuring out. I've sat with my own darkness long enough to know it doesn't have to be frightening — and that on the other side of it is something genuinely worth documenting. I show up to every session with my whole heart, genuinely in awe of what I get to witness. You are in good hands here.
Rooted in life.
Devoted to love.
Every week I write about something that's moving me. Stories from sessions, thoughts on life, the occasional love letter to ordinary moments, about the beauty of paying attention. The kind of thing that doesn't fit in an Instagram caption. Subscribe and I'll meet you there.
