When I first started out, I truly believed that to take great photographs I needed big dramatic skies, mountains, and sunset beaches. There’s no denying that when the stars align and give me any of the above, I do a happy dance.
But as it turns out, it is the tiniest moments that make the greatest photos.
The bride nervously sitting on her hands before the ceremony. The groom blowing out cheeks full of air as he gets through his vows. Teary hugs. The bride and maid of honour having a drinking race. Awkward moments. Raucous laughter. Dance floor shenanigans.
These moments matter. They are the ones that make the best stories.
